A: Ok, so from what I’ve heard: It started at AVEN apparently. Members would welcome new users with the “cake” icon. I think it avalanched from there.
There’s a bit of a motto that seems rampant, at least on that site—that “cake is better,” with the suggestion that “sex” or “sexual attraction” follows.
